Auto Trader proud to reach top 30 of Social Mobility Index
We are very proud to announce that Auto Trader has been recognised as one of the Top 75 employers in the Social Mobility Employer Index by The Social Mobility Foundation for the fourth consecutive year. Ranking 29th in the index, this is the highest position Auto Trader has achieved.
The Social Mobility Index is the leading authority on employer-led social mobility and is an annual benchmarking and assessment tool for employers. The Index shows how employers perform on eight areas of employer-led social mobility and it supports organisations to attract and retain the most talented performers.
The Index is a rigorous assessment of the steps being taken by employers to ensure talent from all social backgrounds can get in and get on in organisations. This year saw 150 organisations enter the index as well as a 60% year on year increase in entrants from the tech sector.
This year the Auto Trader Social Mobility Network, co-led by Sarah BrooksPearce and Sarah Jones, carried out multiple activities which contributed to this rise in the ranking:
“We’re so pleased to once again be featured in the Social Mobility Employer Index and join an incredible list of companies that continue to strive to improve social mobility in the UK. “This year our recently launched Social Mobility Network drove multiple key projects to start discussions and support social mobility both within Auto Trader and the wider tech community. I’m so proud that the network activity has contributed to achieving a higher rank and we are very excited to continue striving for improvement and growth both in Auto Trader and the wider technology community.”
Sarah Jones, co-led of the Social Mobility Network
