Auto Trader, the UK’s largest digital marketplace, has today announced a new partnership with automotive industry charity, Ben. The company has made a significant donation to Ben and is committed to supporting the charity over the coming years.
Auto Trader’s donation this autumn comes at a time when the charity is struggling to cope with the unprecedented levels of demand for its services. Demand that has been driven as a direct result of the global pandemic. The charity made an earlier rallying cry in an open letter asking automotive industry leaders for much needed funds to ensure it could continue to offer the invaluable support services to those in need. Auto Trader has responded with a partnership that will not only provide the charity with much needed funds, but also broader skills support in the form of mentoring and volunteering.
Demand for the charity’s services has increased nearly three-fold this year as people struggle to cope with the effects that COVID-19 have had on their lives, be that financial or emotional. Auto Trader’s donation will enable Ben to continue extending its online digital therapeutic programme, which is proven to be as beneficial as face-to-face counselling. The platform offers a range of tools and support on topics including mental health, stress and coping in challenging times.

Auto Trader will also house important information about the work Ben does on its trade website, as well as regularly promoting Ben’s services to its over 13,000 retailer customer base.
