Autotrader launches ‘The Keys’ – a new community hub for automotive retailers on YouTube
Autotrader has today launched The Keys, a dedicated YouTube channel created specifically for the UK's automotive retail community. Built on the principle of “For Dealers. About Dealers.”, the channel serves as a central hub for industry insight, practical advice and retailer stories, bringing the sector together to share experiences, navigate market trends and celebrate success.
The launch marks the next chapter in Autotrader's long-standing commitment to supporting and collaborating with retailers. While the business already provides the industry with a wide range of market insight, webinars, interviews and informative content, The Keys introduces a new programme of retailer focused content and conversation, alongside a dedicated home for the industry’s most important discussions. Designed specifically for the YouTube platform, it combines fresh formats, retailer voices and expert insight in a way that fits around the demands of running a modern dealership.
The channel has been designed to help retailers stay in the know and strengthen connections across the automotive retail community. Alongside regular market updates and expert-led discussions, it will showcase the people, businesses and ideas shaping automotive retail today, combining Autotrader's market expertise with the real-world experiences of retailers across the UK.
At the heart of the channel is a commitment to putting retailers themselves on screen. Rather than simply talking about the industry, The Keys gives businesses from across the sector a platform to share their successes, challenges and experiences. This approach is brought to life by the channel's flagship series, Dealer Stories, which shines a spotlight on dealerships across the country, sharing peer-to-peer learning and authentic stories from the forecourt. The first episode features Shallcross Vehicle Solutions, taking viewers behind the scenes of the family-run business to explore how it has built a loyal customer community over the past 20 years by putting service, trust and long-term relationships at the heart of its approach.
To complement Dealer Stories, the channel launches with three further core content series, alongside a growing schedule of future programming:
Together, these formats combine insight, practical advice, community discussion and entertainment, creating a channel designed to inform and engage retailers in equal measure. Further formats will follow throughout the year, including The Road Ahead and New Car Market Watch, which will provide deeper analysis of the trends, opportunities and challenges shaping automotive retail.
Supporting retailers has always been at the heart of what we do, and The Keys is the latest example of that commitment in action. We've created a dedicated space where retailers can hear directly from industry peers, stay connected to the issues shaping automotive retail and learn from the experiences of businesses across the UK. What makes the channel different is that it puts retailers at the centre of the conversation. By combining the experiences of dealers across the UK with the market insight and expertise we see every day, we're creating a community-led platform shaped by retailers, for retailers.
There is a real opportunity for dealers to learn from one another in a fast-changing market, and this channel creates a space for those conversations to happen. It’s incredibly valuable to hear from others because they might have experienced a challenge or success that we’ve not yet come across, allowing us to lean on their experiences.
Commented Tom Johnston of Premier Vehicle Group, who recently participated in filming for the channel.
